The city of Birmingham won a gold medal at the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show for the display of the new Birmingham Library. The library is one of the new attractions of the second city in the UK that not only serves the needs of the local population, but the iconic structure is a magnet for visitors to the city.

The architectural design of the library as continued to enhance the city’s skyline with modern iconic buildings like the Cube and the Selfridges building in the city’s main shopping facility the Birmingham Bull Ring.

However, the city is not all about modern architecture, it is also a city with a rich cultural heritage, a diverse community with more canals than Venice and plenty of things to see and do.

Visit the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter Museum and take a guided tour around a real jewellery factory where little has changed since the early part of the last century.

Escape from the buzz of the city at Woodgate Valley Country Park. The park is an ideal place to go for a leisurely walk, observe wildlife, horse riding and much more.
