The British Museum will take you back in time this spring to 40,000 years ago to see what life was like for our Ice Age ancestors. These hunter gatherers, weren’t making pots and pans, they were making weapons to hunt and to defend themselves from their enemies. We now consider what they left behind as art and the British Museum in London will put on show their collection for all to see.

The Museum’s exhibition of the Ice Age sculpture, ceramics, drawing and ornament will leave you astonished at their bewildering creativity and skill.

The ancient works will be presented alongside modern pieces by Henry Moore, Mondrian and Matisse, to show the basic human desire to communicate and make art as a way of understanding ourselves and our place in the world.
