    The space centre is located on the bank of the River Soar in Leicester in the district of Belgrave and was pioneered by the University of Leicester which is the leading institution in the UK dedicated to Space Science.     Things to see and do at The National Space Centre

    The key visitor attractions are designed to have something for everyone. There are six fascinating hands-on galleries to interact with, you will also be able to test your skills at the UK’s largest planetarium to see if you have what it takes to go into space. Test your driving skills on the moon in the Micro-G Manoeuvre module. And how about heading ‘Into Space’, where you can check out a replica of the Columbus Module.

    The centre also house a state-of-the-art, multimedia, domed theatre for stunning space shows that are both entertaining and educational.

    Visit the Challenger Learning Centre which is a mission control/space station simulator designed to help schools teach maths, science and technology as well as develop team-building, problem-solving, decision- making and communication skills.
